I grew up around nature and was brought up eating food produced by nature itself. My family and I ate the fresh eggs the chickens gifted us with, the bountiful harvest from the garden, and for dessert, honey from the bees and wild berries from the woods. As I got older I began to appreciate these gifts more than ever. I have been mentored by my family, friends, and books. Chefs like Dan Barber, Rene Redzepi, and Alice Waters inspire me immensely and make me want to make a difference.
